Moorabbin Picture Framing

Moorabbin Picture Framing was established in 1996.

Please take a moment to have a look at some examples of our work.

The focus of our business is to provide "Custom Conservation Framing" of images or objects. What this means to the consumer or corporate user is that the objective of being able to provide the best presentation, must be done in a manner that will protect and preserve the life of your item.

Images On Paper
--------------------

Our policy is that images including pictures and photographs are to be attached by "Hinging". This method is referred to by The British Museum and The Library Of Congress(U.S.A.) as part of its "National Preservation Program". Other important considerations must occur such at the use of "Acid Free"; hinging tape, backing foam, and mat board (if this was to used) to complete the image. This method has been applied to all of our images.

Object Framing
------------------

Object framing represents one of the most exciting and challenging aspects of our industry. It should be done in such a manner that no damage is caused to the item. Stainless steel pins, nylon fishing line and acid free stitchery tape are just some of the techniques applied to insure that your valuables are preserved and protected. For example:

The A.F.L. jumper has a body built on the inside of the garment to keep it in shape. This allows us to use stainless steel pins for attachment.

The "Lord Of The Rings" phone card collection is a double frame. The set of cards is held between two mats boards but not attached in any way. This means that based on the unlikely event that the cards would ever be removed; they would be 100% in tact.

"Archival Corner" holds the Album in place, while the actual record is held in place by a stainless steel bolt. The album could always be played again.

The fans are attached by fishing line and can easily be removed in original condition.

We realize that in most, if not all cases you will probably never ever remove your valuables after being framed, but isn't it nice to know that they have been treated with the respect they deserve?

Mirrors
---------

Of the many, many different shapes and profiles of mouldings available, we hope that we can find something appropriate to your taste and décor.

We also have a range of "Décor" and "Art Deco" mirrors, designed and made in Australia, available in our standard sizes, or made to order.

Consistent with our commitment to the Australian product, we offer framed mirrors in Redgum, Jarrah and Tasmanian Blackwood.

We look forward to your favourable consideration.
